Events

Some years ago I  had the pleasure of attending and enjoying the facilities once offered by the Other World Kingdom or OWK as it became known. Sadly the establishment is now closed, although, if one goes on line, one can view some of the activities, practices & laws under which it operated.

For those who are unaware, it was a place of supreme excellence. Ladies ruled. Their word was LAW and for those of us who need and enjoy such a culture it was a truly magnificent place in which to BE ONE’S SELF. Males were slaves. The slightest misdemeanor, disrespect or worse still, disobedience, was severely punished.

Three years ago however, through my delightful friend the Lady Ava von Medisin I learned that she intended to organise a ‘Week End Retreat’, to be run on similar lines. Naturally, I was extremely interested and had the pleasure of attending the very first one in November 2014. I traveled in a comfortable car driven by My personal chauffeur, from London to the location she had chosen and which was everything it should be for such an event. A late 19th Century Mansion in Norfolk, set in its own beautifully kept grounds.

On arrival I was warmly greeted by Lady Ava herself plus a few other Ladies, who had come earlier, including my dear friend Lady Caramel. She immediately ordered her slave to collect My luggage and take it to My room which was pleasingly luxurious. It was Heavily Curtained with a sumptuous Four Poster Bed, Chaise, Chest of Drawers & Wardrobe. Having unpacked, I dismissed the slave, freshened up in the small but rather old fashioned bathroom and joined the Ladies for a glass of excellent wine.

On this first occasion, although I only had My English servant attending to My needs, I decided the week end had been so enjoyable I immediately booked and attended the second event run in October 2015. Now, having attended twice, believe I am ‘well qualified’ to recommend Lady Ava’s Norfolk Retreat to all who have experience of OWK or those who wish to enjoy something similar.

On the second occasion as well as My English servant I also brought My servant husband and having two such creatures made it all the more enjoyable. But it is the ambience of the Mansion that appeals most. The furnishings are luxurious and the way the event is run by Lady Ava give the feeling of being present at an elegant 19th Century House Party. She insists that all servants are briefed about the RULES that apply, either BEFORE they arrive or at the START. So, being well aware of how they are expected to behave and the consequences if they fail marks the tone!

Rules are similar to those applied in OWK: “Dress for servants will be appropriate and according to the wishes of its Mistress:- COLLARS will be worn at ALL times. NO SITTING will be allowed – STANDING or KNEELING ONLY. FOOD will ONLY be allowed after PERMISSION from a MISTRESS & will be eaten in the kitchen OR at the feet of its MISTRESS. The emphasis will be on ensuring a servant KEEPS ITS PLACE & KNOWS ITS PLACE. It will serve its MISTRESS & ANY OTHER LADY as SHE wishes to be served”.

Lady Ava had appointed a servant chef to prepare meals. He had to be good because the kitchen facilities are not good, which was of no concern to the Lady Guests whose expectations, including My own were extremely high. The other servants were made to help, particularly with the more menial tasks such as washing filthy dishes, scrubbing the floor, fetching, carrying, serving etc. The days began with an excellent breakfast which we ordered the night before and could be taken in our rooms if we so wished. After leisurely enjoying our respective wishes we Ladies chatted amicably planning how we might spend the rest of the day.

I decided it would be fun to take a turn round the estate.

On the second week end we were fortunate with the English weather and were able to arrange amusing games in the delightful garden. These we designed to either test the

servants’ athletic abilities or ensure they were appropriately humiliated.

Any servant who did not win its competition, or was too stupid to entertain us properly was punished without mercy.

Towards mid-afternoon of each day, we gathered for the particularly English custom of Afternoon Tea. Various varieties were available including Earl Grey & Lapsang Sushong, all served with scones & clotted cream – quite delicious. Teas were served in fine bone china cups, delicate & most elegant. The servants had to take extra care when serving us. Indeed, some of the more nervous ones could not prevent their hands from shaking and when disgraceful spillages occurred, punishment swiftly followed!

On the Saturday evening of each week end, a formal dinner was arranged which on each occasion was sumptuous. The servant chef always did a fine job, the wine was excellent, the meal superb and the party spirit maintained throughout the evening. On the first week end I attended I remember making My servant disappear beneath the table so I could use the creature as a foot rest. But he wriggled about too much and I had to hold him down by driving the heels of my sandals into his back, after which he remained still until I ordered it

After dinner it is customary for Ladies to move into the Drawing Room where we indulge ourselves further by humiliating & punishing our servants. During my second week end, I had starved My English servant, allowing it to have only water. After making it stand beside Me while I enjoyed My dinner, it was noticeably hungry! So when dinner was finished, as part of the Drawing Room entertainment, with help from my servant husband, I changed from My evening gown to a tight fitting leather costume & boots. Under My instruction, scraps from my plate had been saved and it brought them to me in the Drawing Room on a wooden platter. It shook with fear as I pointed to the floor with my whip, but it placed the platter exactly where I wanted – very close to My right boot. I could see the wretch was desperate to eat and I asked it if it was hungry. The reply was affirmative. I pointed with the whip again, conscious that many Ladies were watching. It immediately bent its head to the platter, but before its mouth touched the food I placed the sole of My boot hard down into the scraps and at the same time lashed My whip across the bowed back. It gasped with pain and jerked upright. “DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION?!?” “NNOOOH M’LADY….

I lashed the wretch again and spent an amusing ten minutes making it eat from the soles of My boots. I encouraged it from time to time with My whip and much enjoyed the laughter of the watching Ladies. YES, LADY AVA von MEDISIN’S RETREAT WEEK ENDS are well worth.
